Well, it happened to me again! Tonight I went to hear Karen Armstrong talk about her new book "The Case for God" here in Santa Barbara. She was awesome - obviously brilliant, funny, witty, enlightened and perceptive. So in between the intensive listening and the laughing at her wit and candor, I again was feeling rather insignificant and helpless about my own abilities to contribute some sort of meaningful substance to the world. I have to remind myself that the point of being a hummingbird is that although little, it is a very powerful potential force in making things happen - one step at a time! I hope I can get some help on this...

Workshop Glow

Hi all:

I just finished a 4-day workshop called the Life Launch program, and it was awesome! I am inspired to start the small steps towards change and development of my ideas and intentions to spread the word that each of us can be a hummingbird in our own little corners of the world. There are so many heroic efforts out there to make a difference in the world, and in the lives of the people who are all around us, both near and far. I am anxious to hear from those of you who have a story to tell...This past weekend I heard many of those stories, and guess what? We are all connected, and feeling the same moments of hope and despair, laughter and weeping, anger and forgiveness, joy and sorrow, and above all, the need for LOVE...

Well, so now I am starting a new venture...I have never done this before, so I'm taking that proverbial step out of my comfort zone. But, so impassioned am I about this project that I am trying to get off the ground, that I am happy to be doing so. I am hoping that you or SOMEONE will check out my website: hummingbirdchallenge.com and give me their opinion, advice, comments, questions, etc. about it! I want to help us all to feel that we could be a hummingbird that makes a big difference in the world.. So, we'll see what happens...

Looking forward to hearing from you, Ingrid
